yesterday, my friend annelies monseré released her new record marit (on auetic records). some people, who’s music i really appreciate, contributed to this album (by singing, playing or mixing some stuff): justin & nathan vollmar, jessica bailiff, michael anderson (drekka) and nathan amundson (rivulets). i also sang some stuff. it was fun and i really like the result! so check it out!

catch the falling leaves, normally a netlabel kind of thing, decided to release a tape compilation. some artists on there, that you might heard of before are: dot tape dot, bacanal intruder, aitiänna77 and drowsy. i contributed my boat song, maybe you recognize it .. played it live quite a few times. Sad enough the artwork is really minimal on the actual tape, there’s not even a track list. for that, as well as for streamable songs and more info, visit the label site.

origami at folio
tomorrow night will be the folio radio show lo-fi uit de lage landen on radio 6, introducing the new puddle parade record together with two other cool items: wixel’s slaapliedjes and redrawn, the remix album of soccer committee and machinefabriek. the show starts at midnight and is streamable online afterwards. ps: the show is the radio recommendation of the day in the vpro gids (national broadcast guide), yeay!

if you missed that, you might want to grab another chance to listen to some songs during the radio show folio. they have a special on “lo-fi uit de lage landen” which also includes music from redrawn, the remix/cover cd of soccer committee and machinefabriek’s drawn, and some songs from slaapliedjes by wixel. the radio show is on air on 7 jul 2009 at midnight and is streamable on their website afterwards.

so here it is .. my new cd .. my first real cd ever .. released today .. on morc tapes. yeay!!
it comes in a sweet silk-screen printed cardboard box. you can read more and download one song on the morc page. they even put up a mobile website, where you can download a puddle parade ringtone .. haha.. and you can also listen to some snippets on last.fm.

one of my most favorite records of last year was drawn by soccer committee and machinefabriek. they decided to ask some friends and favorite bands to make remix/cover versions of their songs and now released it on cd. the release features redrawings by annelies monseré, squares on both sides, mark templeton, fransisco lópez, taylor deupree, steinbrüchel, peter broderick, xela …
i also covered something: magpie.. my most favorite song on the record, which got stuck in my head right after listening to it. if you want one, let me know. or order it via machinefabriek directly. the cd is 15 € including worldwide postage.
